From the 28th of September to the 26th of October, PORIS was developed as a part of the demonstrator project in the city of Pori, Finland. More than 2000 citizens stopped by to share their ideas and wishes concerning the development of the city centre.
Residency artist and urbanist Jonas Büchel engaged in PORIS for 5 weeks. During this period, he got to know the deepest layers of Pori by talking to citizens, organisations and cultural actors. With his 20 years of experience in participatory projects, he made some remarks of the city.
On the 28th of November, Jonas Büchel returned to Pori to give his final report and evaluation. He wanted to show what the potential culture could offer to the city of Pori as a strategic focus point.
