UPDATE: UPCOMING EVENTS DURING CORONAVIRUS. 03.09.2020

UPDATE: due to coronavirus lockdowns across Europe and elsewhere, UrbCulturalPlanning has postponed multiple dates for many of the upcoming events in 2020. Please, look up the very latest updated events taking place in 2021 during the project here.

UPCOMING URBAN LABS:

1. URBAN LAB ON IMPLEMENTING AND MANAGING – VILNIUS

Urban Lab Vilnius took place online on 27 May, 2020.

The focus will be on the on-going process of sustaining and connecting with the community and city, as well as with stakeholders, external partners, and the (self-)management of complex projects with multiple stakeholders.

2. URBAN LAB ON GREENING AND BLUEING– PORI

UPDATE 03.09.20. Urban Lab Pori might take place during August, 2021. Please follow for more information soon.

In August 2020, an Urban Lab will be carried out in the City of Pori.

The aim is to work with the environmental issues we are facing – a strong aspect which will be more present in the future dialog about urban strategies.

3. URBAN LAB ON SOCIAL INNOVATION – RIGA

UPDATE 03.09.20. Urban Lab Riga will take place online on 15 – 16 September. Register here!

An Urban Lab in the city of Riga will happen at the end of September 2020.

We will be questioning what the meaning behind social innovation, as well as why is it so relevant as a driver for society. Particularly in the context of challenged communities.

4. URBAN LAB ON CHILDREN AND YOUTH – GULDBORGSUND/COPENHAGEN

UPDATE 03.09.20. Urban Lab Denmark is postponed to spring 2021. Please follow for more information soon.

In the end of October 2020, an Urban Lab will take place in Denmark.

The lab will be focusing on inclusion of children/young people in social change, as well as in community change, experiences, methods.

5. URBAN LAB – GDANSK

UPDATE 26.05.20. Urban Lab Gdansk is cancelled.

In November, 2020 there will be an Urban Lab in Gdansk.

This Lab will raise the problematic concerning diversity. How to involve different communities and groups in the process and how to design processes which can connect groups between different social backgrounds, culture and ethnicity?

6. URBAN LAB ON ANCHORING, DIFFUSION, LEARNING STRATEGY – KIEL, SCHLESWIG-HOLSTEIN

UPDATE 03.09.20. As for now, Urban Lab Kiel is planned during the original dates and offline. Please follow for more information soon.

An Urban Lab will take place in January 2021 in Kiel.

The Lab will be working with sustainability as the key to securing a long term “legacy” and integrate the project into strategic programs of the city/region business models, etc. In addition, it will raise the question on how to ensure dissemination and learning of cultural planning.

7. URBAN LAB – KALININGRAD

UPDATE 03.09.20. As for now, Urban Lab Kaliningrad is planned during the original dates and offline. Please follow for more information soon.

The Urban Lab will take place in Kaliningrad in April/May 2021.

Information about this Lab will be announced soon.

8. URBAN LAB ON PUBLIC SPACE – LITHUANIA

UPDATE 03.09.20. As for now, Urban Lab Lithuania is planned during the original dates and offline. Please follow for more information soon.

In March 2021, an Urban Lab will be carried out in Lithuania.

Here we will discuss the importance of public space as a frame for culturally driven cultural planning projects.

 

CONFERENCES

1. CONFERENCE – GDANSK

UPDATE 03.09.20. The conference is postponed to 19 – 21 November, 2020, and will take online. Please follow for more information soon.

The conference will be held in Gdansk on the 29th-30th of June 2020. The themes of the conference are:

  • Social inclusion
  • Participation
  • New democratic models for society
2. CONFERENCE – RIGA

UPDATE 03.09.20. As for now, the conference in Riga is planned until June the latest and offline. Please follow for more information soon.

In April/May 2021, the third and last conference will take place in Riga.
